Orange Togarashi

Makes a scant 1/2 cup

Ingredients

  • Finely grated zest of 1 medium orange
  • 3 tablespoons black sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons course korean chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Dry the orange zest. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Place the zest in small ovenproof dish and bake for 15 minutes, or until shriveled and totally dry. Stirring once or twice. Set aside to cool completely

  • Make the mix. Transfer the cooled zest to small bowl and stir in other spices.
